Under the direct supervision of the manager, the Floater Associate is responsible for the accurate sorting and timely distribution of incoming/outgoing mail and material; ability to travel within the Greater Houston area to fill in for office service positions when staff members are out.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to commute to locations located in the Greater metropolitan area
  • Great customer service skills
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Able to communicate effectively with many different types of people
  • Receive and direct all incoming calls. Use phone for support information to assist callers and visitors.              
  • Courteously greet and assist all visitors       
  • Verify a valid I.D from all visitors and issue out appropriate badge
  • Maintain appearance of lobby
  • Receive and sign for packages/envelopes if employee is not available upon the time of arrival
  • Sort all mail (separate the mail that will go out to other locations)
  • Ensure mail/packages are addressed to the correct location
  • Receive FedEx, UPS packages and log in all tracking numbers
  • Manage all deliveries of mail, letters, packages and interoffice for each facility
  • Complete two interoffice mail runs per day to each building
  • Manage/maintain postage machine
  • Possess a "can do" attitude
  • Can effectively work individually or in a team environment
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years Customer Service experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Can stand or be on feet for long periods
  • Pass background check
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and must have reliable transportation
