Under the direct supervision of the manager, the Mail Services Associate is responsible for the accurate sorting and timely distribution of incoming/outgoing mail and material.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for receiving, sorting, and distributing incoming mail (e.g. letters, parcels, Courier, U.S. Postal, and interdepartmental) to appropriate recipient department mail drops and user areas.
  • Completing timely collection of outgoing mail in accordance with assigned schedules. Prepare and process outbound courier shipments using computer or service provider's equipment.
  • Tracking and maintaining records and logs of signature controlled mail items. Perform accurate data entry as needed.
  • Delivering boxes and bulk mail items utilizing hand trucks to assigned customer receive locations. Collect any outgoing boxes for distribution.
  • Inspecting all mail for suspicious/threating items
  • General facilities and office support functions include: Interaction with local administrative assistants, conference room checks, floor walks, reception back-up, supply ordering, visitor assistance and other office support functions.    
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must have a HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be customer focused and display a professional demeanor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess general computer knowledge (data entry) Ability to lift 50 lbs. or greater.
  • 1-2 years prior office services related experience.
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks and projects to their completion.
  • Ability to identify and solve routine problems as they occur.
  • Ability to work individually or in a team environment.
