Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the process, activities and personnel to carry out all team responsibilities with excellent customer service and efficiency
  • Establish Service, Safety and Morale goals for the team
  • Coach and develop personnel and effect process improvements to achieve higher levels of performance
  • Actively manage the performance of team members including taking disciplinary action when warranted
  • Oversee all operations-related job functions, which includes but not limited to Archival management, Central Receiving, Inbound and Outbound shipments, and Invoice & Statement mailings
  • Employ Business-planning and team performance goal tracking to ensure team is meeting or exceeding established goals and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ship and receive parcels and packages
  • Process inbound packages utilizing technology
  • Handle work order service requests into applicable format
  • Inspect deliveries for suspicious or threatening items
  • Ship out products in a timely and accurate manner
  • Operate FedEx and UPS computers
  • Stage outbound packages for pick-up by commercial couriers
  • Some computer related tasks along with loading and unloading trucks in a warehouse environment
  • Make deliveries and pick-up from all departments
  • Responsible for staff administration and communication with client contact
  • Ensure management is advised of all important matters
  • Maintain volume metrics
  • Train, monitor and discipline employees
  • Prepares employee appraisals and evaluates employee performance
  • Interviews candidates for open positions
  • Any other duties as assigned to meet departmental and company objectives


  • Associates degree in Business Administration or other related discipline is required
  • Experience in Managing and Leading People is preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and Pitney Bowes Mailing systems is preferred
  • 5 to 8 years experience in an Office Services environment
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills
  • Solid analytical skills with a high problem solving and process improvement orientation are crucial
  • Excellent Customer Service skills are required
  • Knowledge of Inbound and Outbound Shipping is preferred
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment such as pallet jack and server lift
  • Prior mailroom supervisory expeirecne is highly desirable
  • Data entry experience combined with some knowledge of FedEx and UPS systems is preferred
  • Must be congenial, friendly and extremely customer service oriented
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must be adaptable to work adjusted schedule
