Key Responsibilities:

o Work with couriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) on shipping/ receiving packages
o Preparing, packaging and shipping requested packages per DOT / IATA guidelines (to include Hazardous materials, international shipping etc).
o Delivers critical cold packages to end users in a timely and efficient manner
o Receive PO's into Oracle system on daily basis.
o Track incoming packages and maintain accurate delivery documentation
o Sort and deliver packages
o Identify charges and match them to billing
o Count items from courier (Fedex, UPS, USPS etc) to ensure that the correct number have been received
o Determine storage areas for incoming shipments (Chemicals, Lab supplies, Office supplies etc)
o Assist in physically moving incoming items to designated storage areas and supervise storage activities
o Record damaged or defective items and replace them according to company policies
o Ascertain that all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly labeled and that correlating documents are available with each shipment
o Select the method of consignment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
o Maintain files of shipping records
o Attach identifying information and delivery instructions on containers
o Point of contact for lab waste removal
o Administrative responsibilities as needed and provides excellent customer service and support.
o Regularly reviews, prioritizes, coordinates and promptly responds to work orders and service requests.
o Provides support on facilitiesrelated issues. Interfaces with customers to ensure all expectations are being met
o Maintains a positive relationship with all the members of the Facilities department and our site customers while promoting a positive team environment.
o Conference room setups, Furniture setup / removal, Vendor support
o Maintains compliance with corporate, safety, security and regulatory policies.
o Maintains all assigned Corporate, Facilities and EHS training as required
o Adheres to all safety procedures and hazard communication; updates and maintains applicable safety data sheets
o Assists with backup support to EHS and IT
o Helps maintain facilities business continuity and crisis management documents and notification systems to ensure current and accurate information. Assists with coordinating annual site emergency response drills.

Qualifications:

o HS graduate or acceptable trade certification of experience in combination of education and practical experience
o Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving of hazardous materials including liquid and solid chemicals.
o REQUIRED: Experience with shipping of "hazardous / dangerous goods" is a requirement.
