Under the direct supervision of the manager, the Sr. Facility Technician responsible for performing regular "sweeps" of the workspace(s) to identify areas/items/equipment/materials in need of repair, replacement or upgrade. Report all issues to the Facilities Manager, so as to correct. 

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 730am-430pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Takes maintenance requests, distributing and closing out work orders as required.  Troubleshoot & oversee solutions to problems relating to the facility and any of its components.
  • Respond to building and equipment alarms and emergency situations. Act as a conduit of information for upper management and communicate with all employees in emergency situations, power or other building service disruptions
  • Re-stock supplies throughout office building
  • Assist in set-up and break-down of meetings, lunches, and events
  • Perform basic maintenance of kitchen area and appliances
  • Performs simple maintenance tasks including light bulb changes, assembly of furniture and accessories, HVAC filter changes, painting, small electrical and plumbing repairs.
  • Manages the janitorial services for the building performed by contract janitorial personnel.
  • Assist with internal moves.
  • Prepare outbound courier shipments using computer or service providers.
  • Operate Postage machine to process mail.
  • Control inbound and outbound accountable packages and assets.
  • Weighs packages and determines postage.
  • Sort parcels for shipping and receiving.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Train and become knowledgeable about all building systems and equipment in regard to their proper operations, maintenance, and repair
  • Prepare items for processing, shipment or transportation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Trade or technical degree preferred.
  • Must be customer focused and display a professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office applications and good communication skills required
  • 1-2 years prior facilities related experience
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks and projects to their completion.
  • Ability to identify and solve routine problems as they occur.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team with other departments.
  • Ability to work well with a variety of different individuals both inside and outside of the company.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Vendor management experience
