Key Responsibilities

 

  • Inspect deliveries for suspicious or threatening items.
  • Sort mail and packages into categories according to established methods.
  • Physically distribute mail and courier packages by cart, dolly or hand truck to and from various departments throughout the building.
  • Make timely collection of outgoing mail (letters, parcels, U.S. Postal, interdepartmental), using cart or, for larger items flatbed, hand truck or dolly.
  • Pickup outbound boxes and packages from internal customer departments and mail stops.
  • Prepare items for processing, shipment or transportation
  • Ship out products in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Deliver office supplies and copy paper.
  • Perform daily checks of copiers to ensure they are supplied with paper, toner and free of jams
  • Check shredding bins daily to ensure they are not at capacity.
    a. If full, notify supervisor
  • Assist supervisor with pickup and delivery of ASCAP's business documents with Cityside warehouse.
  • Check all conference rooms daily and clean as necessary.
  • Performs conference room and event set-ups.
  • Maintains pantry areas ensuring they are cleaned, organized and stocked with supplies.
  • Provides escort assistance for contractor and building management, as requested.

  • Assist ASCAP Business Services with projects and/other duties as required.
  • Interface with the management daily.
  • Ensures storage rooms are clean and neat
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required, some college preferred.
  • Possess good computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Possess strong customer service skills
  • Must have 2 years experience in mail, copy, and/or office services/ Pantry set-ups
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge of US Postal, UPS shipping and other shipping software as needed.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of problem solving skills.
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential and highly sensitive material.
  • Ability to deal with difficult or irate customer periodically.
  • Able to set priorities.
  • Must be flexible to adapt to changes and multi-task.
