Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing, sorting, and staging packages for delivery.
  • Receive, count and verify all incoming parcels, freight, etc., notating damage and discrepancies.
  • Correctly receive, handle, store, package, label and ship Dangerous Goods (Lithium Batteries, etc.)
  • Log all incoming items, letters and packages, including certified, registered, return receipt, Federal Express, UPS and DHL.
  • Prepare and package outgoing materials to prevent in-transit damage.
  • Prepare all appropriate shipping documentation for both domestic and international shipments.
  • Operate mechanical equipment as required, i.e. pallet jacks, carts, hand trucks, etc.
  • Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
  • Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.
  • Reports damages & discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record keeping purposes.
  • Completes shipping and receiving reports.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P's) to perform the functions of the job.
  • Outbound processing of all outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain highest level of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude.
  • Satisfying customer demands in a high volume environment.
  • Maintains Monthly Metrics Report (MMR).
  • Insure all inbound and outbound items are X-Rayed
  • Hold weekly team meetings in area of responsibility
  • Responsible for safety and security of employee work areas
  • Creating time expectations based on time of carrier arrival and package volume
  • Shadowing processing associates for performance audit and possible improvements
  • Coaching and developing team members
  • Investigating failures and working with Management on preventive/corrective actions
  • Assisting or taking over positions in employee absence
  • Managing attendance and staffing needs for warehouse operations
  • Onboarding/training of new employees in all processes
  • Insuring team is cross trained in all warehouse receiving functions
  • Establish open communication with Facility Coordinator & Zone Manager
  • Manage supplies in area of responsibility
  • Provide process improvements/ideas to management for possible implementation
  • Report personnel or process issues to Management for assistance
  • Review and close open packages in Bear Tracks for previous day
  • Run end of day SLA reports as team members arrive from route. Ensuring all items are delivered or scanned into proper status to achieve SLA minimum of 98%
  • Insure that no items are held longer than 31 calendar days without approval from Management
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
